As you have probably began to notice with the site, we are interested in sharing more than just amazing Mid-Century Modern Homes. We also like fashion, cars, and recent MCM news as well and work to keep our loyal followers up to date.

In today's world filled mostly with mass produced communities littered with spec/model properties, MidModerns primary goal is to help connect people with their own unique Mid-Century Modern home. Our secondary goal however, that separates us from other sites is to also share related interests and stories that relate to Mid-Century Modern style, furniture, and classic automobiles.

Since our launch we have spent most of our weekends helping buyers and sellers converge on our unique Mid-Century Modern properties as well as saving other buyer's from the master planned commuity allure sucking them into cheap granite and walnut cabinets. But this past weekend we switched things up and headed west to Scottsdale, Arizona to attend the GoodGuys car show 17th Southwest Nationals.

GoodGuys Rod & Custom Associtation (www.good-guys.com) promotes and produces what in our opinion is the best example of what classic car shows should be. With over 70,000 members, GoodGuys offers over 20 events annually stretching coast to coast featuring thousands of cars ranging from candy colored hot rods and customs, tricked out trucks, mighty muscle cars and regal classics.

Here are some highlights from the show:

  • 3,000 custom classic cars in attendence
  • Spoke to numerous vendors & manufacturers in the exhibits
  • All top 12 cars of the year were in the Champions Arena

Of which we are so proud to share our very good friend and family member Jeremy Miranda of www.miranabuilt.com had his 1967 Chevrolet Nova (pictured right) win street machine of the year. Now to be clear for anyone who doesn't quite understand how big of an accomplishment that is let us clear it up. HUGE!!!!!!!!

2 Full days of autocross qualifying and shootout finals

  • If not familiar with Autocross, it's a tight cone outlined road course that classic muscle cars race aginst the clock to post the best time
  • Here's a highlight video from the event: 1969 Camaro Ride Along

We had a great time and can't wait to come back next year! Highly recommend anyone who has even the slightest interest in  classic cars to check out one of the 20 Goodguys Car Show events in 2015.
