Yes, comfort is important, but it does not need to be obvious. We're talking foot wear! Welcome to the Do's and Dont's of casual men's shoes.
Do:
Comfort - It can be done trust us, and style need not be compromised. No one ought to know just how orthopedic your shoes are, really.
Color - Get a little sporty and try some lively colors on your trainers, especially on classic styles. Safe bets are earthy tones like green, gray, navy, and red.
Leather - Sneakers are not the only casual footwear. Try different style boots, brogues, and loafers. Go for the shiny or worn look, ether way your winning.
To be noted, these shoes and styles, whether you are dressing them up or down look best with fitted trousers cut just above the ankle or shorts the stop above the knee. Socks not required, but if you must a no show is the way to go. May we reccomend J'Crew as a go to place for socks.
Don't:
Beat Up Sneakers - Save those holding-on-by-a-single thread converse for lawn days. Sure they've been through so much with you but it's now time to get them some well-deserved rest.
Flip Flops - Real Gentlemen don't wear flip flops. Remember that really cool movie with that really cool guyon that really cool yacht sporting oversized jeans and a baggy shirt? Yeah, neither do I.
White Tennis - Picture this, paired perfectly with your baggy light wash dad jeans. Just don't do it.
Now man up and elevate your style from playground to pub.
Cheers!
