Welcome to MidModerns.com. After 2 plus years of hard work, studies on our own projects and traveling the United States to find Mid Century Modern (MCM) homes in the most unique places we have launched our site to begin helping others find their own MCM home. We have big plans ahead as we move forward in an effort to change the way we view our at home and buying experience. 

Following two decades of post-war America, the 1950's through the late 1960's were considered an era layered with sophistication, functionality and simplicity. Opposite from the cookie-cutter homes and communities built today that keep little in mind besides high quanity and low quality. Mid-Century Modern homes were designed with the intention of enriching people's lives by opening up the interior spaces and bringing the outdoors in, creating a more functional home. Going forward MidModerns.com will utilize modern technology with efficiency in mind to create state of the art homes, yet preserve that iconic look and feel associated with Mid-Century Modern homes of that era.

Solid Structure- Aspects that initially catch attention is the use of geometric lines built on solid foundations. Incorporating nature in design and raw concrete finishes.

Asymmetrical- MCM architects stepped out of tradition with bold roof lines either flat, gable, cantilevered or multiple lines depending on complexity of overall design.

Extensive use of windows- Large panel windows served a multi-functional purpose used extensively to bring in light while also creating a flow (indoor to outdoor space).

Flow with nature- Interior rooms often open onto large patio or atriums that seamlessly blur the distinction between indoor and outdoor space.

Let the work speak for itself- materials such as wood, brick and stone are used in abundance and shown in the natural form. MCM homes are built with the intentions of honesty, showcasing the true inner workings of the craft.
